Library patrons who use hoopla have a lot to be excited about this month.
February marks the first 2023 availability of Bonus Borrows! This means there are hundreds of titles available (in audiobook, eBook, comics, movies, and television) to patrons without using any of their monthly Instant borrows, and free for libraries as well. This promotion lasts all month, so encourage patrons to take advantage—it’s a perfect opportunity to try something different, or to enjoy more of what they love.
It also brings with it a new Spotlight Selection for the hoopla Graphic Novel Book Club! This quarter we’re reading Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – The Last Ronin, written by TMNT cocreators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Set in a post-apocalyptic New York City, one surviving Turtle fights a seemingly unwinnable battle against an entire army. It’s a fitting, satisfying swan song for the beloved series, and we hope you’ll read along with us. Finally, we have several new additions to hoopla BingePass that are specifically for kids. With these new collections (The Reading Corner, Growing Up: Social-Emotional Learning for Kids, STEAM Powered Kids, Learn About the World: People, Places, and Holidays, and Cuentos para niños en español), little ones and their grown-ups have plenty of great options to engage with entertaining content that helps them to learn and grow.
