Rave Reviews on iOS!

As you know, we recently released a new iOS app on hoopla digital, which included features such as Kid’s Mode, comic ratings and the addition of language, subtitle and dubbed language information to our video detail pages.

We continue to update our hoopla digital apps with new features, fixes and enhancements to provide your patrons the best possible user experience, and from what we are seeing in the iOS app store, its working!!

How Do You Share?

How do you share new services with your current digital platform users when they rarely step foot into the library?  Despite our efforts with social media, on our websites and blogs, we know we have a challenge reaching our communities -- there is limited visibility and limited reach available through these avenues.

So many of us go directly to the websites and services we are familiar with and just don't take the time to explore other options. We all lead busy lives, and we really do need to be interrupted and have new information personally shared with us to help expand our awareness to new services that might meet our needs.

Just last month, we had a library reach out to us with a predicament...

"We have a core group of loyal Overdrive users, but we want to make sure they are aware of the content instantly available to them on hoopla!"

After a bit of discussion on the topic, we resolved to assist them in crafting an e-mail designed specifically for this library's Overdrive users...simply to share with them that they can instantly access and enjoy this type of content, as well!!

As our eAudio and eBook offerings continue to grow on hoopla, I feel many of you might be curious as to how you can expand your reach with the service, to ensure your "Digitarians" know the value you provide them via hoopla!!

We're Listening!! Users Now Have the Option to Hide History on iOS Devices

As you all know, we at Midwest Tape have always made an effort to listen to and learn from our libraries as we strive to create and consistently improve our services to meet the needs of your patrons and community.

Did you know that our recent iOS release includes an option for patrons to hide their history? This is only the first step in this implementation, and soon this option will be made available on Android devices and the hoopla digital website!

hoopla for Kids!

Your “hoopla for Kids Look Book" should already be at your library or arriving in the next couple of days. Your team at hoopla digital is excited to share this brand new Children's Library experience with you and your patrons! Our Children's Look Book for 2016 is filled with videos, music, and books; a look at both collections and individual titles chosen and assembled just for kids and families.
 
We're also pleased to announce our new hoopla Kids Mode, the gateway setting for accessing everything in this multi-format, children's digital media experience. It's the place where you, library parents and kids, alike, will be able to discover all the great hoopla kids' content, with one swipe.
 
Our hope is that hoopla Kids Mode will become a hoopla happy place for everybody!

Announcing HarperCollins eAudiobooks on hoopla!!

We at hoopla digital, a service of Midwest Tape, are excited to introduce our latest offering to you: the HarperCollins global catalog! This newest addition will provide access to the full catalog with some titles subject to 12 month windowing from initial release date.
